Mezzo is the first vocal group in Kazakhstan working in the direction of classical crossover - a musical style that is a synthesis of elements of classical and popular music.

Founded in 2012 by producer Abdel Mukhtarov and consisting of 4 talented young performers, the Mezzo group sings songs in different languages of the world, including covers of songs from the repertoires of performers such as Andrea Bocelli, IlDivo, Josh Groban, Alessandro Safina, Elton John, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and others, as well as their own original repertoire.

With a musical education and a fine creative taste, the soloists of the Mezzo group create their own unique interpretation of popular music, simultaneously following the laws of the chosen musical genre and breathing their own style into each song.

The Mezzo group was first talked about in 2012, when it became the winner and the most discussed group of the X-Factor TV project, receiving national recognition and audience love throughout Kazakhstan. This year can be considered the year of the group's foundation. At the same time, the group received the prestigious Altyn Adam - Choice of the Year in Kazakhstan 2012 award in the Discovery of the Year nomination. The Mezzo lineup has undergone several changes. Today, the group's members are: Zhasulan Sydykov, Zhanibek Seidakhmetov, Asan Nurbergenov, Medet Urumbayev.
